About Alice
With 14 years of Lindy Hop experience on the highest level, Alice Mei truly doesn’t need an introduction! Spreading the joy of vernacular jazz and Lindy Hop in more than 30 countries, Alice is always looking to inspire and be inspired. You will most likely hear her giggling from the other side of the room when she is social dancing. Alice enjoys keeping her dancing simple and natural.
In class, she teaches the same principals that she cherishes as a dancer and she mainly focuses on keeping things in rhythm and flow.
Like most of us; a bit of a geek, she likes to play video games, but her favorites are still the most simple ones like Tetris and Lemmings. Emotional, sensitive, fun and natural…here are some adjectives to describe Alice and if there is anything else you wish to know about her, just ask her and she will most likely tell you.
About Xesc
“I love vernacular jazz dances, its history, and its culture.
From the moment I encountered Lindy Hop, my life changed completely. I was automatically fascinated by the rhythmic richness, the great variety of movements, and the capacity for self-expression of the swing music and dances, so I started my dancing journey by learning how to do the Lindy Hop and soon enough came Solo Jazz, and Tap Dance. In 2017 I had the opportunity to start teaching some classes and soon, I turned it into my way of life.
Currently, I am lucky to live these dances in the most complete way I could have ever imagined, training and competing with my dance partner and other fellow dancers; sharing the dance in classes; performing with the company Cia. EnJazz; and of course, enjoying the social dance on a regular basis.” ~ Xesc
