Did you know that some of the music you are dancing Lindy Hop to, are actually spiritual and/or Gospel songs? To honour this heritage, we invited maX Music creative workshops and acts to teach us some Gospel tunes:
‘Oh Happy Day!’ during the Gospel workshop of maX Music creative workshops and acts you can become that swinging Gospel choir where no one can stand still!
Under professional guidance from workshop leaders Bas (piano) and Miranda (vocals), you will learn to sing the well-known gospel songs yourself. This is done through polyphonic singing and maybe even a solo piece here and there!
No prior musical knowledge or singing experience is necessary. It’s about the joy of singing and the solidarity that gospel music brings.
In the evening, during the Saturday party, the participants of the workshop will give a spectacular performance together! It will be an unforgettable experience for everyone so don’t miss it!
